Dining rooms

In restaurant Lingon’s Dining Rooms you can enjoy traditional Swedish food.

Welcome to coziness, welcome to Restaurant Lingon’s Dining Rooms!

Restaurant Lingon is situated in Svartbäcksgatan in the area of Lindormen in central Uppsala. Our dining rooms are located in an old wooden house that dates back to the late 17th century. Walking through the door is like going back to a long lost époque of Uppsala history and the old timber walls bare witness of many different businesses that where located here through the years. From the beginning it was an old sort of tannery, a place to prepare leather. It has also been a colormen’s shop and a bicycle repair shop at one time. Restaurant Lingon opened in 2001 and thus we are celebrating our 15th anniversary this year, in 2016!

We can accommodate roughly 60 dinner guests extended over two dining rooms, and we have great experience in hosting large groups for more representative dinners. We also have a snug with armchairs and a small bar. You immediately get a sort of home-feeling entering our dining rooms, or maybe rather like visiting your old Swedish grandma? It’s like a little cottage in the countryside, although still in the middle of town.

Unfortunately it’s not possible to make adjustments for disabled access, due to the age of the house, and there are some small stairs both inside and outside.
In restaurant Lingon’s Dining Rooms you can enjoy traditional Swedish food and good service in a cozy environment. At restaurant Lingon we care about Swedish food and flavors. Our ambition is to serve rustic and tasty food with roots in Swedish cuisine.
